1Password's server is built around not revealing secrets: items are addressed by a secret reference, the vault the agent can reach is chosen explicitly, and reads surface as approval prompts rather than silent lookups. Tools cover listing vaults and items, retrieving a field, and creating items. For a workflow that needs a credential in a script, injecting a reference beats copying the value into the conversation.
