ActivityWatch records which application and which window had focus, second by second, and keeps it on the machine. The useful decision in this server is that it exposes AQL — ActivityWatch's query language — rather than only dumping raw events: a week of activity is millions of rows, and aggregating inside the tracker before anything reaches the model is the difference between an answer and a blown context window. Buckets can be listed and filtered by type, raw events pulled when a query is not enough, and AW_API_BASE points the server at a tracker running on another host or outside a container. Be deliberate here: window titles and visited URLs are among the most revealing data on a computer, and every query sends them to the model provider.
