Convex ships its MCP server inside the regular CLI, so any project that already has Convex installed can expose its backend to an agent without a second package. The server lists deployments, prints the generated schema, enumerates the queries and mutations a project defines, and runs read-only queries or one-off JavaScript against the live data. That combination matters for a reactive backend: the agent can check what the schema actually looks like before writing a mutation, instead of guessing from the source files.
