gget is an established Python toolkit that hides the interface differences between Ensembl, UniProt, NCBI BLAST, PDB, AlphaFold, ARCHS4, Enrichr, COSMIC and CellxGene behind one set of functions; this server exposes each of those functions as an MCP tool with its original name, so gget_search resolves a symbol to an Ensembl ID, gget_seq returns nucleotide or translated protein sequence, gget_alphafold predicts a structure and gget_enrichr runs pathway enrichment on a gene list. Keeping the upstream naming matters: anything written about gget in a paper or a notebook maps onto the tool surface without translation. It launches over stdio, streamable HTTP or SSE.
