Using Gists as a notes backend sounds like a shortcut, but it buys version history, sharing links and a sync story for free, and this server treats them accordingly: list, create, duplicate and archive gists, edit individual files with targeted find-and-replace, read and post comments. Two details set it apart. Gists are also exposed as MCP resources under a gist:/// scheme, with change notifications and per-gist subscriptions, so clients can read them without spending a tool call. And optional tool groups — daily notes, starring, archiving, prompts — stay off unless a flag turns them on, which keeps the tool list short. A token scoped to gist alone is enough.
