GreptimeDB stores metrics, logs and traces in one place, which means the interesting questions cross signal types — a latency spike next to the log lines around it. The team's own MCP server keeps the surface small: list tables, describe a table, run a SQL query. Small is the right choice here, because the model does not need help calling a database, it needs an accurate picture of which tables exist and what columns they carry.
