KiCAD MCP Server

Board design punishes hallucination faster than most domains, because a wrong footprint becomes a physical mistake, so the useful part of this server is the checking loop rather than the drawing. Project setup, schematic editing, placement, routing and Gerber export are all exposed, but so are DRC and ERC runs whose output the model reads back before continuing. It generates custom symbols and footprints for parts missing from the standard library and keeps them in a personal library across projects, pulls JLCPCB catalogue pricing and stock, and can hand routing to Freerouting. Note the lineage: the maintainer's newer Rust plugin for KiCAD 10 is where development moved, while this Python and TypeScript server stays MIT-licensed and maintained.
