Each storage backend is declared through environment variables under an alias, so a bucket configured as mys3 is then addressed as mys3://path/to/file. That single decision is what keeps the tool surface flat: the agent learns two verbs and a URI scheme rather than a provider-specific API per service, and adding Azure Blob later changes configuration rather than prompt. Apache OpenDAL supplies the backend coverage, which is broad and maintained outside this project. Reads detect text versus binary automatically instead of returning bytes the model then has to guess at, and configuration is also picked up from a local env file for development.
