Readwise collects highlights from books, articles and papers, and Reader holds the queue of things not read yet; this server exposes both to an assistant from one remote endpoint at mcp2.readwise.io/mcp. Around twenty tools cover searching and listing highlights, creating and editing them, pulling the daily review, then on the Reader side searching documents, moving them between inbox, later and archive, bulk-editing metadata, and managing tags and notes. Nothing is installed — the client points at the URL and the user authorises with their Readwise account — and clients that only speak stdio can bridge through mcp-remote. The earlier self-hosted npm package is deprecated in favour of this one.
