Domain and URL analytics, keyword research, SERP results, backlinks, site audit and project management are all present, which is most of what the Semrush API sells. The design decision worth copying is the dual entry point: the same install produces both an MCP server on stdio and a semrush command for the terminal, so a coding agent that can already run shell commands reads the data without an MCP connection at all. A balance tool reports remaining API units, which matters because Semrush meters by request and an exploratory session burns them quickly. Traffic and audience sections need the Trends add-on. This is community-maintained and self-hosted, not Semrush's own server.
