ThoughtSpot's Spotter server connects to a customer instance, handles the authentication, and answers from live data rather than a cached extract — the agent suggests relevant questions, gets an answer back, and can assemble the results into a Liveboard. It runs as a hosted Cloudflare Worker with OAuth, and hosts that cannot do dynamic client registration register manually at agent.thoughtspot.app/clients, where the generated client secret is shown once and is not retrievable afterwards. Registering an instance URL at that point also spares end users from typing it during authorisation. The tool surface is explicitly versioned: v1 keeps getRelevantQuestions, getAnswer and createLiveboard, while v2 adds the Spotter session loop of create_analysis_session, send_session_message and get_session_updates.
