A single skill covers the whole Amazon Location surface: interactive MapLibre maps and static map images, forward and reverse geocoding, routes and travel times, text search, nearby search and autocomplete, place details, geofences and device tracking. Two choices shape the guidance. It steers toward resourceless API operations and the bundled JavaScript client, so adding one small feature does not drag AWS resource management into the project, and it states its negative triggers plainly: a Google Maps, Mapbox or Leaflet codebase is out of scope unless the task is a migration onto Amazon Location. Access runs through a proxied AWS MCP endpoint launched with uvx, which keeps credentials on the ordinary AWS path instead of a bespoke one. It is published by AWS Labs in the shared agent-plugins repository.
