Brightspace is the learning platform of a large slice of universities that never appear in LMS tooling, and this server covers any school running it rather than one institution's fork. A setup wizard walks through login and multi-factor authentication once and then writes the client configuration itself, which matters because the hard part of a campus LMS is never the API — it is getting through the identity provider. Sessions re-authenticate on their own; a manual auth command exists for the case where a push prompt was missed. Once connected, the surface covers grades, assignments and due dates, announcements, course content and file downloads, rosters and discussion threads.
