Rather than scripting each Apple app separately, iMCP runs as a signed menu bar application and hands the assistant one server covering calendar events, contact lookup, message history with a given participant over a date range, reminders, current location, map and directions queries, and weather. Each service is a separate toggle, and switching one on triggers the operating system's own permission dialog, so access is granted through Apple's model rather than a config file. That is also where the honest caveat sits: the app stores and transmits nothing by itself, but every tool result — message text, contact details, where you were — travels to whichever model provider the client uses. Requires macOS 15.3 or later.
