Most location servers hand back a geocode and leave the model to chain three more calls. This one adds ground_location_tool, which composes reverse geocoding, category search and an isochrone into a single response with citations, picking the strategy from the shape of the question. A second design choice matters just as much: the geometry tools — distance, area, bearing, buffer, union, intersect — run locally without touching the API, so an agent can reason about shapes it already has for free. Results can be drawn on a real Mapbox GL JS map through render_map_tool, which also accepts hand-written GeoJSON with no other Mapbox call involved. Needs a Mapbox access token; a hosted endpoint exists alongside the npm package.
