Norman is an accounting product aimed at small German businesses, and its server is remote rather than local: streamable HTTP at mcp.norman.finance/mcp behind OAuth 2.1, so credentials stay with Norman instead of sitting in a client config file. Beyond invoices, ZUGFeRD e-invoices, receipt matching and transaction categorisation, it can generate Finanzamt previews and file a UStVA return, which is further than most bookkeeping integrations go. Automation rules are first class and previewable: a rule such as booking every Telekom charge to internet costs can be inspected before it is created, so the model proposes and a human approves. A company-formation flow for a GmbH or UG checks the proposed name against the Handelsregister and prepares the founding documents, which the project is careful to describe as notary drafts rather than legal advice.
