Paddle acts as merchant of record, so a single account carries the catalogue, subscriptions, tax handling and payouts; the server mirrors most of that API in 83 tools across products, prices, discounts and discount groups, customers, addresses, businesses, transactions, adjustments, subscriptions, notifications, simulations and reports. The decision worth knowing is PADDLE_MCP_TOOLS, which accepts all, read-only, non-destructive or an explicit comma-separated tool list and defaults to non-destructive: reads plus safe writes are loaded, while updates, deletes and archive calls stay out of the model's reach until you ask for them. PADDLE_ENVIRONMENT switches between sandbox and production. Scope is Paddle Billing only, so Paddle Classic accounts cannot be driven through it.
