Socket's MCP server answers one narrow but frequent question: is this package safe to install? depscore returns supply-chain, quality and maintenance scores for npm, PyPI, Maven, NuGet, RubyGems, cargo and Go modules, and a whole manifest can be checked in a single call. Organisation-scoped tools read alerts and the threat feed for teams already on Socket. The hosted server needs only an OAuth sign-in, while the npm package can be self-hosted with your own API token.
