Most meeting assistants begin after a transcript exists; Vexa produces the transcript. A bot joins the call as a participant on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and speaker-attributed text can be polled while the meeting is still running. The gateway exposes a REST surface for sending, stopping and listing bots plus an MCP endpoint at /mcp for agent clients, both authenticated with the same API key. Meetings compile down to Markdown in a git repository, which is a deliberate choice: knowledge that can be diffed and grepped outlives whatever tool wrote it. The project is Apache-2.0 and can be self-hosted end to end, with a status page that marks Jitsi support as not yet validated live.
