Eight groups make this the most complete member of the family, and two of them are absent from the MySQL and SQL Server versions. The vector assist group works from intent rather than syntax: you describe the workload and the latency you need, it defines a spec, lets you modify it, applies it, and only then generates the query, so index type and parameters are decided once and recorded instead of being guessed per query. The lifecycle group checks major version upgrade compatibility before an upgrade is attempted, which is the cheapest moment to find out. The rest is familiar ground: provisioning, schema and SQL, bloat and autovacuum, execution plans and PromQL, replication and roles, extensions and memory settings.
