Cockroach Labs groups its skills into five domains. Development covers transaction design, multi-region application layout and benchmarking transaction patterns; observability covers statement and transaction fingerprint profiling, range distribution, table statistics and triage of live SQL activity. Migration skills drive the MOLT tooling for fetch, replicate and verify, and the security set runs to thirteen skills — CIS benchmark audit, audit logging, IP allowlists, private connectivity, SSO and SCIM, CMEK and TLS certificate handling. The plugin reaches a cluster through either the self-hosted MCP Toolbox or the managed CockroachDB Cloud MCP endpoint, and ships hooks that validate SQL before it runs.
