Past a threshold you choose — 80 percent out of the box — the next prompt carries a warning, and the model gets a matching instruction: finish the request at hand, run whatever command persists the session, then state that the conversation can be cleared. Below the threshold it says nothing at all. The saveCommand setting is what turns the warning into a routine: point it at the save command you already use, or at the /wrap-up command that ships with the plugin. An optional statusline script keeps the percentage visible while you work, so the threshold is never a surprise.
