The server itself is remote — Streamable HTTP at mcp.lovable.dev with OAuth 2.1 and RFC 9728 discovery, so Claude Code needs only the URL while other clients also pass Lovable's public client ID. Its tools cover projects and workspaces, sending messages to a project's own AI agent and reading the replies back, inspecting diffs, file trees and edit history, and enabling a Postgres database. The plugin adds three commands on top: build, iterate and db. What those contribute is a confirmation step, because every message to the Lovable agent consumes credits and publishing changes a site that is already live — the commands prompt first instead of firing the tool call straight through.
