A merge queue serialises merges and runs CI on temporary merge commits, which catches the integration failure that individually green pull requests still produce. The cost is a new class of question: why did my pull request leave the queue. These skills answer it from the terminal — queue and dequeue, read the dequeue reason, follow a batch through bisecting, pause or unpause a frozen queue — alongside skills for merge protections, stacked pull requests, CI test insights and the configuration file. The dequeue reason codes are the part worth having written down, because they are not self-explanatory.
