Changing a Fiori elements app is not a free-text edit — the app is driven by annotations and manifest settings, and a model guessing at them produces something that will not load. So every modification is split into three calls: list_functionality reports what can be changed in the app at hand, get_functionality_details returns the parameters that change expects, and execute_functionality applies it. Generation is handled separately, either from a live OData v4 service whose metadata is downloaded first or from an existing CAP project. The server runs over stdio through npx with no global install, and SAP recommends a long client timeout because generation is slow. Pairing it with the CAP and UI5 servers is the documented setup.
