CourtListener is the Free Law Project's open archive of American case law, and this server puts fifty-two tools over its v4 API, including three asynchronous job-control tools for retrievals too slow to hold a request open. Two deployment contracts ship side by side: a local stdio process, and a Cloudflare Worker with hosted OAuth for remote clients that should not run a server themselves. One practical detail before you plan an install — the npm package is not published, so the stdio path means cloning the repository and building it. The value here is verifiable primary sources for legal research; nothing in the tool surface constitutes legal advice.
