Filestash is a self-hosted file manager that sits in front of many storage protocols, and this plugin turns that same configured surface into an MCP endpoint. The consequence is where the credentials live: the SFTP key, the S3 pair and the SMB account stay inside the Filestash instance, and the agent is handed one endpoint instead of a wallet of secrets per backend. Adding storage later is an admin change on the server rather than a client reconfiguration. Since the plugin ships inside the main Filestash tree, it follows the same release and permission model as the file manager itself, and a public demo endpoint exists for trying the wiring before self-hosting.
