The tool surface follows FreeCAD's own structure rather than flattening it — around eighty tools split across document management, primitive creation, PartDesign sketching, patterns and edge operations, view control, undo and redo, import and export, and the parts library. That split matters for a model, because parametric CAD is a sequence of dependent operations and a sketch tool that does not know about the pad after it produces geometry nobody can edit. It connects to a running FreeCAD through an add-on workbench over XML-RPC or a JSON-RPC socket, and also runs headless or in a container for pipelines with no GUI. Execution and debugging tools let a macro be run and its error read back in the same session.
