The server talks to MetaTrader 5 through the terminal running on your own machine, which keeps broker credentials local and also introduces a manual prerequisite that trips most first installs: algorithmic trading has to be switched on in the terminal's Expert Advisors options or every order silently fails. Roughly twenty-five operations cover account balance and margin, symbol lists and quotes, latest and date-ranged candles, market and pending orders, stop-loss and take-profit edits, and deal history. Position closing is where the design shows its origins: besides closing one position there are batch calls for all positions, per symbol, only the profitable ones and only the losing ones, which is how a trader phrases the request in the first place. A REST API and a WebSocket quote stream ship in the same package.
