Built on the official NS API, so departures carry platform numbers, delay minutes and the notes the railway itself publishes, and journey planning reflects engineering works rather than a static timetable. Two areas set it apart from a generic transit server. Fares are answered properly — single and return, first and second class, adults and children counted separately, with validity conditions — which matters because Dutch fares are distance-banded rather than flat. And station lookups include OV-fiets availability, the rental bikes parked at the station, which is the piece that decides whether the last kilometre works; accessibility and platform layout come from the same call. An NS API portal key is required.
